Come and learn with us how to make a leather portfolio, from start to finish: punching, cutting, hammering, stitching, polishing, embossing and a lot more.
Steffi and Marlene, our leather experts, will guide you so that at the end of the workshop you can take home your own leather companion, which you made yourself, and which you will keep for a lifetime.

Whatever your level is, our leather experts Marlene and Steffi will guide you to create your own unique leather companion. You won’t need any previous knowledge about leather crafts. We will provide all necessary tools, aprons, and of course the beautiful premium vegetable-tanned leather which you will use to make your portfolio.
at the heart of paper republic
The workshop takes place at the heart of the paper republic premises, where all our leather products are made. Together with a small group, you’ll get to use the tools from our production team and sit on their stools, to live the full experience of making a paper republic product!
We’ll offer you some snacks and drinks for (well deserved) breaks throughout the workshop. You are also welcome to visit our shop, where you’ll get 20% off everything that day.
after the workshop
You’ll go home with your own self-made portfolio, a certificate & an instant picture attesting your participation to the workshop, and a lot of joyful memories.

Is the course open to beginners?
Absolutely, you don’t need any previous knowledge about leather crafts.
What is the duration of the workshop?
The workshop lasts 4 hours, to give you enough time to go your own rhythm, take breaks, ask questions, require assistance, visit the shop and paper republic premises.
How many people are participating?
The workshop is open to 6 participants, in order for each of you to receive all the necessary advice and assistance from our 2 leather experts.
In which language is the workshop organised?
Our leather experts Marlene and Steffi speak fluent German and English.
Can I make any products I want?
All participants are taken through the process of making the same leather product, le portfolio [a6] or [a5], in the colour or colour combination of your choice.
Can I make some purchases while I’m there?
Yes, you can happily visit our shop and make a selection there.You’ll even get 20% off on everything that day!
What if I can’t join?
If you cancel your participation more than 3 weeks in advance, we will refund 100% of the purchase price.
If you cancel your participation at least 2 weeks in advance, we will refund 50% of the purchase price.
If you cancel your participation less than 2 weeks in advance, we will refund 25% of the purchase price, or you can receive a credit for the next event.
Can I book the workshop with my own group?
Happily, this workshop can be privatized for a team events, birthdays or any other events with your friends, colleagues or family. Contact us at wecare@paper-republic.com to organise this!
